Let’s conclude this by looking at the New “old Biden”.
Weakness invites aggression, so it’s no surprise the president’s weakness on the world stage has only emboldened our adversaries to become more aggressive in their rhetoric and their actions
After only one year of Biden being in office, the country has seen the complete collapse of Afghanistan and a return of the Taliban rule; Russia’s war with Ukraine, in what is largest invasion in Europe since World War II; the rise of authoritarianism in Latin America; the failure to hold anyone accountable for the COVID-19 pandemic; and Iran’s continued build-up of its nuclear program.
This is a stunning list of failures in such a short period of time and demonstrates serious flaws Biden’s foreign policy. He has proven his feebleness with the debacle of the Afghanistan withdrawal. That kind of foreign policy disaster defines this entire presidency as inept.
Abandoning Afghanistan only emboldened terrorists around the globe. The move left the U.S. exposed to the threat of terrorism, abandoned our NATO allies, who the president did not contact for days after Kabul fell, and left other allies exposed.
When Biden gave tacit approval for Russia’s Nordtream2 pipeline- that was another thing Putin noticed.
