What do chess pieces represent in reality?

The king (noble and cowardly- looks at his own protection at the sake of all others but with the long term plan for winning) and Queen (the powerful and majestic as she strides across the battle field) are surrounded by the Religion (Bishops - sneaky and piece from the corners) and then their Knights (direct attackers with plenty of tactics) which help protect the realm. This is followed by the castle (rooks) which are the towering in strength and protecting to the end. Finally pawns are the workers who are driven forward with the promise they will become powerful if they succeed even though their chances are slim.
